It has been YEARS since Jim Henson’s spectacular film has graced the big screen and whether you’re a child of the 80s, a first time viewer or a David Bowie devotee you’ll be stunned and amazed to see this incredible film now presented in 2K digital format on the Astor’s Superscreen. A young Jennifer Connelly plays Sarah, who wants nothing more than for the goblins to take her half brother, baby Toby, away. But when Sarah’s wish comes true and the Goblin King (a delightful or terrifying David Bowie in tights – depending on your preference) does take Toby away she is desperate to undo what was clearly a rash plea. Full of adventure, packed with quality family friendly humour and displaying what are simply the most stunning puppets ever created (more than five years in the making no less!) Labyrinth 2K is an absolute must-see re-release. TJ

IMDB SYNOPSIS

Young Sarah is left home alone by her parents and she has to babysit her little brother Toby. But the baby keeps crying and Sarah, while telling him a story to make him sleep, inadvertently conjures from a fantasy world the Goblin King who steals the child and brings him to his castle in the middle of a labyrinth. Sarah has to rescue him before midnight, or the baby will became a goblin...
