(1973, dir. George Lucas, w/ Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Paul Le Mat, Charles Martin Smith)
A film that has come to inspire and shape contemporary American Indie flicks, American Graffiti begins at Mel's Drive-in and follows its incredible ensemble cast through an evening of what might seem like nothing, but is in fact absolutely everything in terms of their self discovery. Set to an inspired musical soundtrack and capturing the true essence of an era. TJ

Two-Lane Blacktop will start at approximately 9:46pm, and finish at approximately 11:34pm.
Even though it wasn't much of a success at the time of its release, Two-Lane Blacktop has now achieved a well-deserved cult following for its stunningly abstract and contemplative tone and structure. A documentation of US Route 66 and a road movie that moves along at its own unique, beautiful pace, follows two street-race drivers who drift along the interstate between towns encountering hitchhikers and other drivers along the way. Minimal in its use of dialogue, web observed and gently meditative. Tara Judah
