Hours
The Astor Theatre usually opens one hour before the advertised start–time for the first feature of the day.
So, unless noted otherwise, the box–office will open at 1 PM on a Sunday and at 6:30 PM Monday to Saturday (closed Tuesdays).
There is no need for advance booking at the Astor – in fact we don’t take advance bookings for most of our sessions – we have a seating capacity of 1,110 and do not issue allocated seating. You cannot book tickets over the phone, but they can be purchased from the ticket box at the theatre on the day you wish to attend, from one hour before the session start time. For some sessions you can advance purchase tickets via the Trybooking links on our website – these are indicated by a large red “BUY TICKETS” button on the individual session details. If there is no red button then we are not selling any advance tickets. Trybooking tickets must be printed out and presented to the usher at the door (no need to queue at the ticket box) upon entrance to the cinema. If you have purchased a concession ticket, please have your concession ready for checking. And remember, even if we’re busy, we promise you’ll still get a seat!

Ticket Prices
Seating at The Astor Theatre is normally general–admission (unreserved). Tickets are on–sale only on the day of each session and pre–booking is not available (except for some special events).

Where prices are not marked on the calendar for single features, or where stated “regular prices”, our regular pricing applies – that is, $15 Adult, $14 Concession, $13 Pensioners/Children.
