THE ASTOR REVIEW

After a trip to the rings of Saturn, astronaut Steve West returns to Earth suffering from a disease that causes him to melt and eat people. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” says one of the doctors. After chasing a fat nurse through a plate glass window, Steve goes on the rampage; decapitating a fisherman, scaring little children and eating the heroine’s comedy relief parents. The excellent make-up effects by Rick Baker depict Steve gradually losing various body parts. Both the acting and the décor are hilarious. Best dialogue: “Oh my God! It’s his ear!” Presented with commentary by those two drips from Cinema Fiasco. GW

IMDB SYNOPSIS

You've never seen anything til you've seen the Sun through the rings of Saturn, exclaims Alex Rebar. Apparently, somehow this causes him to start melting and eating people, such as a nurse in the tightest fitting nurse's outfit ever, a nerdy fisherman, a horny old couple who simply can't keep their hands off each other in a car. To save the day comes Doctor Ted Nelson!
