It may look like a film about fighting robots but actually Real Steel is every bit as family friendly and just about as wholesome as Disney comes. Following the death of an ex-girlfriend, former-boxer Charlie is lumped with a son he doesn’t know and doesn’t care to. Determined not to let Max get in the way of his passion for training and operating robots in the ring, Charlie soon learns that there’s more to life than just machinery and money. TJ

A future-set story where robot boxing is a popular sport and centered on a struggling promoter (Jackman) who thinks he's found a champion in a discarded robot. During his hopeful rise to the top, he also discovers he has an 11-year-old son who wants to know his father.
