SYNOPSIS

There will be a special screening of the film 'Human' at the Astor Theatre as a fundraiser for Earthcare St Kilda and Beach Patrol Australia, starting at 7pm on 11 October 2016. Tickets $15 and $10 with concession, with proceeds being shared by these two organisations. This is a great opportunity to see this film on the big screen (where it is best appreciated) and help a couple of important environmental groups with their wonderful work. Our thanks go to The Beachcomber for sponsoring this event and Serge Thomann for securing this event with Palace Cinemas. About the film... An epic document of the struggles and triumphs that unite us all, HUMAN takes viewers on a journey across the globe to uncover the essential truths about what it means to be human. Through a series of more than 2000 interviews conducted throughout 60 countries, director Yann Arthus-Bertrand successfully expresses the collective human experience in all its forms - from deeply personal and wounding stories of poverty, domestic abuse and anguish to tales of love, joy and the euphoria of being alive.
